While he has been lauded and congratulated for his groundbreaking show which debuted on Zambezi Magic last year, Arthur Evans is already planning a second season which will see him focus more on other Southern African countries,A particularly Zambia.
The Arthur Evans Show concluded its run recently and a?The Acea? as he is popularly known had made it clear the show would only return if it pulled the numbers to warrant a second season.
a?If people are not watching the show then there is no point in putting the show out. At the moment, as DStv get its ratings from a couple of countries with Zambia being one of its benchmarks and the show is doing very well in Zambia,a? he said at a function back in December.
Now a few months later, the TV and radio personality confirmed that the show would be returning for a second season.
a?Yes, I can confirm that the show is returning for a second season. As things stand our focus is on the second season and our sights are set on that,a? said Evans in an interview.
According to some, Zambezi Magic is most popular in Zambia where the station draws a large part of its viewership.
This is a fact that has not gone unnoticed by Evans who said that he would be interviewing more personalities from that country.
a?We had scheduled to interview a couple of Zambian personalities including Michelle Lungu and a few others but due to the fact that we got our sponsorship later than we had planned we had to forgo that.a?
a?However, for the new season we will be interviewing a few celebrities and personalities from that country,a? he said.
