The meeting, which will be attended by the NACZ director Elvas Mari and his deputy Nicholas Moyo, is set to review the awards format and find how they can be improved.
In an interview, Moyo said they were meeting stakeholders 11 years after the event was launched to consult them on how they could be rejuvenated.
“A lot of things have changed in the industry in the last 11 years, and so should Nama. So we are coming with a blank slate and stakeholders should give us their views on the issue to fill in that gap,” he said.
Moyo was quick to point out that reviewing the Namas did not mean changing the awards as some people could be of the view that the format for nominations and the number of categories, among other issues, should remain the same.
“Some might even say instead of changing let us improve on the present set-up, while others might say the format is okay,” Moyo said.
