LOCAL arts promoter and entrepreneur, Dr Prosper Kaseke, is ready to land his hand in the fight against drug and substance abuse.

Speaking to H-Metro, the Taproka Health Care founder, said everyone must be duty-bound to join the fight against the drug scourge, and he is happy with the response of artists he has worked with.

He said they offer herbal medicine to cleanse the system. “Drug and substance abuse is now a threat to national development and I am happy to play my part in providing a solution in fighting the menace.

“Most people preach against drug abuse without providing a solution, but as Taproka Care, we now have the solution to fight drug abuse by encouraging the youths and artists to use herbs to detox.

“It’s sad that our youth, who should be playing an important role in promoting the development of our country, are wasting away due to drug and substance abuse,” he said.

He claimed to have detoxed Zim dancehall artist Silent Killer from drug and substance abuse.

“Silent Killer akasiya ma-drugs. I am trying to educate people to abstain from using drugs.”

He also emphasised the importance of education in combating drug abuse, urging schools and parents to keep a watchful eye on their children and educate them about the dangers of drugs.

“Education on the dangers of drugs should be mandatory in schools and parents must be vigilant in monitoring their children’s behaviour and surroundings.”
