NYANGA Arts Village have embarked on an online marketing project to advertise artists’ works in a move they are confident will link them with customers across the world.
The arts village has been choked by a series of challenges, chief among them being the drying of customer inflows. Some artists have since abandoned the menial trade for other undertakings as they could no longer sustain their livelihoods.
The online market is expected to rekindle this dying passion as it have worked for other arts centres countrywide and Nyanga was being hampered by inaccessibility to internet, but thanks to TelOne’s ADSL recent connections, they are now online.
On the website will be photographs and videos of artists’ works, electronic catalogues, and artists’ profiles, as well as marketing campaigns to promote the works.
