ASPHALT Products will continue its 30th anniversary celebrations with a golf tournament set for Harry Allen Golf Club in Bulawayo on Saturday following the successful hosting of a corporate football tournament last weekend.

The company is sponsoring the Saturday Club Golf Tournament as part of its broader corporate social responsibility initiatives and efforts to strengthen relationships within the local business community.

Asphalt Products co-founder and managing director Engineer Francis Mangwendeza said they are looking forward to the event.

“As part of its 30th Anniversary Celebrations which kickstarted with a soccer tournament last Saturday, Asphalt Products will be sponsoring a Saturday Club Golf Tournament at Harry Allen Golf Club in Bulawayo as part of its broader Coperate Social Responsibility initiatives,” said Mangwendeza.

“The tournament seeks to provide a relaxed atmosphere for high level networking within the local business community and a platform for the organisation to appreciate the stakeholders who have immensely contributed to its growth over the past 30 years,” said Mangwendeza.

The tournament is convened by Asphalt Products co-founder and director Alfred Dube, an honorary member of Harry Allen Golf Club whose association with the club dates back to 1990. Dube also served in the club’s administration over the last 10 years as treasurer.

One of the major highlights of the event will be the participation of three generations from the Dube family, with Dube expected to play alongside his son and grandson.

According to the organisers, the gesture reflects the company’s commitment to strengthening family ties and building a legacy that spans across generations.

The golf tournament follows last weekend’s successful Asphalt Products 30th anniversary corporate football tournament held at Busters Sports Club where Davis Granite emerged champions.

The four-team competition featured Asphalt Products, Davis Granite, Amacon Civils and Masca in a knockout format, with Davis Granite defeating Amacon Civils 5-3 in an entertaining final.

Saturday’s golf tournament is expected to attract golfers and business leaders from across Bulawayo as Asphalt Products continues celebrating 30 years of operation and contribution to infrastructure development in Zimbabwe.
