BACK in Form One, one of my seniors once said: “Aspire to inspire before you expire.”
That quote has stuck with me ever since.
High school may feel long, especially for the lower forms, but time flies.
Before you know it, you will be in Upper Six, with less than a year left before you step into the real world.
Before your high school days become nothing but stories, aim to leave a mark, whether in sports, academics or culture.
Try new activities; you never know where they might lead.
Your path to a prestigious green blazer might lie in something completely unexpected, like chess.
As a senior, remember that juniors may look up to you as a role model, especially if you excel in something.
Make sure any publicity surrounding you is positive.
And, above all, balance is key.
Academic performance matters and poor results may raise questions about your priorities.
Manage your time well and strive for consistent excellence in everything you do.
