Only two members in the men’s team managed to retain their slots after the last tournament and they are Peter Mulukula and David Nyemba.
The duo made it into the six-member team that also has Patrick Zimidzi, Moses Ndlovu, Simbarashe Mavhima and Justin Thomas.
Timothy Chibwe will be on standby while the man’s veterans include Alison Dale and Ndumiso Tshuma.
The veterans will have players who who are 50 years and over.
The Under-25 team has Kudzayi Nyemba and Davis Chivere who will be looking forward to a gold medal.
The women’s team has Melody Gezana of Manicaland and Tabeth Zhoya have successfully defended their places in the final team.
The two who have come on board are Mloyi and Masiiwa
The veterans in the women’s category are Florence Ncube and Alice Mafume. NDAZ national chairman Mynard Moyo reckoned that the selected teams are strong enough to make an impact at the regional tourney.
“The teams are very strong and we are hopeful that we will make a mark at the tournament. The tournament held at the weekend was very competitive and the players were committed.
“Nyemba had qualified to play for the main men team, but with his age we preferred to use him in the Under-25 category.
“The partnership of Nyemba and Chivere is likely to bring us a gold medal. We now need to focus on the preparations for the Zone VI games.
“Some of the eight countries, which have confirmed their participation include Malawi, Botswana, Zambia, Namibia, Lesotho, Zimbabwe, Swaziland and host South Africa,” Moyo said.
