BULAWAYO’S ceremonial home of athletics, White City Stadium will tomorrow play host to the city’s senior and junior track and field championships.

Bulawayo Athletics Board (Bab) chairperson Manuel Mpofu said the stage is set for the meet.

“Everything is now in place and the event officials have been sorted. We are still receiving some calls from various clubs confirming their participation so we are expecting a huge turn-out.

“This event is part of our talent development programmes meant to keep our athletes active and exposed to competitions,” said Mpofu.

In the field events, athletes will compete in discus, short putt, javelin, hammer, high jump, long jump and triple jump.
