A MT HAMPDEN man spent the long weekend behind bars after allegedly striking an acquaintance with a brick over a 50 cents debt.
The suspect, Given Alingo, appeared before Harare magistrate, Feresi Chakanyuka, who remanded him in custody.
He was referred to the High Court for bail consideration.
The court heard that a disagreement ensued between Alingo and the complainant over 50c.
Alingo then allegedly struck the complainant twice on the head, with a brick, and he sustained two deep cuts.
The complainant is currently admitted in hospital where he is in a critical condition.
