A MAN’S claims that his late girlfriend’s neighbour has been trying to sell her residential stand have been dismissed by the Harare Civil Court,
In fact, according to the woman he was accusing of trying to sell the property, Robert Chipungumberi is the one who has been fingered as the one trying to conduct the transaction.
Chipungumberi has been having a row with Grace Chiwaura, who used to be a neighbour to his late girlfriend.
“I have a memorandum of understanding with the cooperative and I was living together with her (late girlfriend) as husband and wife,” he said.
“I am a surveyor and my job requires me to move around.
“Chiwaura insults me using vulgar words and she is interfering in my personal affairs.”
Chiwaura said:
“I went to the cooperative and they said the stand belonged to Chipungumberi’s girlfriend and son.
“The room was built by the deceased and I built the borehole.
“Chipungumberi is trying to sell the stand, he comes with different buyers to the stand threatening the 15-year-old boy and, as a result, the boy tried to commit suicide.
He proposed to his girlfriend’s sister saying if she wants to stay at the stand she should accept the proposal.”
The magistrate summoned the deceased son, Panashe Chibando, and asked him if he knew Robert, and he said:
“I knew him as a visitor. I would give him minutes with my mother and he would leave.
“After my mother passed away, my uncle told me that I had to look after the stand as it was mine.”
