Chitungwiza Central Hospital took the lead in early 2008.
Speaking at the presentation of the certificate yesterday in Harare, SAZ director general Mrs Eve Gadzikwa said the hospital had been efficient in its operations.
“Over the years and with challenges such as HIV and Aids, there has been global rapid growth in the various branches of health care services. The efficient operation of the Avenues Clinic over the past years is testimony of how seriously management takes its health care delivery system”, she said.
Mrs Gadzikwa said that the Avenues Clinic was committed to serving the nation through the provision of cost effective critical healthcare. “Re-certification is an assurance of good quality, a means of demonstrating an organisation’s ability to consistently supply quality products,” she said.
The Avenues Clinic is one of 120 companies in Zimbabwe, South Africa and Malawi certified to ISO 9001:2008 by SAZ. Managing director of the Avenues Clinic Mrs Merissa Kambani said despite all odds and challenges, the clinic had been certified ISO-compliant.
