AVM Africa, Dinson Iron and Steel sign cooperation agreement

Local bus and truck assembly company AVM Africa and Dinson Iron and Steel signed a cooperation agreement this Wednesday, marking a significant boost for the local motor and iron and steel industries.

The agreement was signed by AVM Africa’s Managing Director, Mr Jacob Kupa, and Dinson’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr Benson Xu, at a ceremony attended by Industry and Commerce Minister Mangaliso Ndlovu.

Mr Kupa stated that the agreement is a positive development for the motor industry.

“This is a positive development for the local motor industry value chain and the promotion of beneficiation in the steel industry,” he said.

Mr Xu emphasised that the agreement is a testament to his company’s support for the Government’s industrialisation agenda.

“We want to play our part in Government’s industrialisation agenda and the promotion of the motor industry through the availability of local raw materials,” Mr Xu said.
