A NEW national platform, the Munhumutapa Exhibition and Awards, will be held at Rainbow Towers in Harare on October 31.
The initiative is being run by All National Excellence Enterprise, which has partnered with other awards companies to stage the event.
“This is more than just an event, it is a national celebration of excellence, patriotism and service to our beautiful country, Zimbabwe,” said organisers’ spokesperson Beatrice Sibanda.
“The awards ceremony will surely bring bring together individuals, companies and organisations judged to have made outstanding contributions to Zimbabwe’s development under one roof with doctors, lawyers, businesses, pharmacists, farmers, miners, teachers, engineers, artists and technologists among those set to showcase their work.
“For the first time, every sector will have the opportunity to exhibit how they serve the nation,” Sibanda said, adding that the fields represented would range from medicine and law to agriculture, mining, education and technology.”
She added that participants selected to take part in the exhibition will additionally be honoured with the Munhumutapa Awards, which Sibanda described as “a very prestigious and royal badge of honour” reserved for individuals who have “shown the bloodline of true heroes.”
Sibanda said the award is intended to recognise recipients as builders of Zimbabwe, carrying forward the legacy of the historic Munhumutapa Kingdom.
The exhibition and awards ceremony is being promoted under the tagline “Where Patriots Are Crowned.”
