JITI musician Braveman Chizvino, better known as Baba Harare, has dropped his seventh studio album.

Simply titled “Zimbabwean Giant”, the new offering was officially launched on Friday at Jongwe Corner in Harare.

“This album is a true representation of me as an artiste. It represents how multi-faceted I am. There is a combination of dance songs, love songs and obviously a bit of comic relief,” said Baba Harare in an interview with The Sunday Mail Society.

“Zimbabwean Giant” is made up of nine tracks, with some of them exhibiting a major departure from the singer’s traditional touch.

“I deliberately featured seven artistes on the album. I wanted the project to capture different genres or flavours that constitute our Zimbabwean music. Working with some of the greatest musicians in the country means the album will have a cross-cutting appeal,” he said.

The musician added that he always strives to produce quality music.

“I derive inspiration from day-to-day life. I am also a huge social media consumer as you might have noticed. So, through interactions with my fans, I often get inspired to write new songs,” said Baba Harare.

The singers featured on “Zimbabwe Giant” are Jah Prayzah, Freeman, Mai TT, Munyaradzi Munodawafa, Blot, ExQ and Dan Lu from Malawi.
