POLICE yesterday released two more names of suspects linked to the running of the faceless Facebook page, Baba Jukwa.
National police spokesperson Senior Assistant Commissioner Charity Charamba said “we are keen to interview Zakes Moyo and Mkhululi Chimoio in connection with the administration of Baba Jukwa Facebook page and posting subversive material”.
She said: “Moyo is believed to be residing at number 98 Berea Johannesburg, South Africa while Chimoio’s address is given as number 71 Alexander, Berea Johannesburg, South Africa. These two are suspects in the administration of Baba Jukwa Facebook page.”
The two bring to 14 the number of suspects involved in the administration of the Baba Jukwa Facebook page.
Sunday Mail Editor Edmund Kudzayi and his brother Philip who are among the suspects linked to Baba Jukwa were recently released on $5,200 and $5,000 bail each respectively.
The two are facing charges of attempting to subvert a constitutionally-elected government and attempting to commit acts of insurgency, banditry, sabotage or terrorism.
Edmund is also facing an additional charge of undermining the authority of the President.
The list of wanted persons also includes husband and wife Wilf and Trish Mbanga, publishers of the UK-based The Zimbabwean newspaper as well as the weekly’s South Africa-based correspondent, Mxolisi Ncube.
Other suspects are UK-based computer programmer, Samson Chifamba, UK-based systems and software engineer, Walter Shoko, George Chirakasha, a Zimbabwean resident in the UK, as well as Anomie Drew, Piniel Nhokodi, Romeo Musemburi and Sarudzai Florence for whom no further details were supplied. The ZRP say the suspects, along with Edmund and Phillip, established a “global network to post subversive articles on this page”.
