United States top singer Kenny Edmonds, affectionately known as Babyface, is expected to jet in tomorrow ahead of his gig at Borrowdale Racecourse this Friday.

Babyface will join Toni Braxton, who is already in the country, for their show which some fans have described as double bill. The two are expected to perform songs from their hit album before touring some parts of Zimbabwe.

The “I Care About You” hitmaker will land in Zimbabwe around 9pm aboard South African Airways.

According to the show organisers, everything is going as planned.

“We are very excited that everything is going according to plan. Those who cannot buy tickets online will get the tickets at the gate. It will be a three-in-one concert whereby Toni will perform first and then Babyface will follow suit. Thereafter the two icons will share the stage. Toni loves to meet the people of Zimbabwe and she is geared up for a great show at the Borrowdale Racecourse on Friday,” Bernie Bismark who is the organiser of the concert said.

The allure of the show will be the chemistry between Toni and Babyface who have worked together on a number of projects.

There is no doubt the two still appeal not only to the old but also the young as both Toni and Babyface continue to make good music far surpassing their years.

Show tickets have been pegged at $40 as the cheapest while VIPs will fork out $100 and $150 for the VVIPs who have vantage position as they will be close to the stage.

Toni, singer extraordinaire, producer and songwriter has sold over 67 million records, including 41 million albums, worldwide.

She has won seven Grammy Awards, nine Billboard Music Awards and seven American Music Awards . Aside from her success in music, Braxton has become a television executive producer and personality, being involved in the seventh season of the reality show “Dancing with the Stars” and in a reality series entitled “Braxton Family Values”.

Babyface is one of the world’s best producers, transcending the ages with his countless hit songs and producing for some of the world’s finest acts. He has produced and written for/or artistes like Whitney Houston, Carole King, Patti LaBelle, Chaka Khan, Aretha Franklin, Madonna, Michael Jackson and Janet Jackson.

He received three consecutive Grammy Awards for Producer of the Year in 1995–1997. The duo has reunited for their latest,Grammy Award winning album “Love, Marriage and Divorce”. This collaboration is about real life issues that the duo has both been through. The album has been number one in Southern Africa and the popularity of both Toni Braxton and Babyface continues to grow on the continent.
