Nigerian pop-singer Davido will have a busy night on August 29 when he performs in the capital.

Davido is scheduled to perform at Belgravia Sports Club on Saturday night when he shares the stage with local acts that include Trevor D, Roki, Jay C, Soul Afrika and DJs Ash Style and Nivek among others.

Organisers of the show said Davido will arrive in the country on Friday ahead of the show.

“We now await his arrival. Everything is in place and we have done our part. We are now waiting for the musician to deliver,” said a spokesperson of Chipaz Promotions who are putting together the show.

After his performance at Belgravia, Davido will go on to mix and mingle with his fans at an after-party at Pablo’z VIP Lounge at Sam Levy’s Village.

Lyndon Kapuya of Event Worx who run Pablo’z VIP Lounge confirmed Davido will be at their club after his show.

“He is going to be our guest on Saturday after his concert at Belgravia Sports Club. We are excited to host yet another talented Nigerian artiste after the success of Burna Boy for the launch of the all new Pablo’z club,” Kapuya said.

Kapuya also said that the VIP Lounge would open its doors on Thursdays for live performance and Latin night evenings.

“The VIP Lounge Thursdays offer all clientele an evening of great music, fantastic food and of course a wide selection of top shelf beverages. With its laid back jams, exquisite food and cocktail menu and of course the mature and sophisticated ambiance, the VIP Lounge exudes sophistication with our strictly smart dress code and age restriction policy of 25 years.

“These Thursday evenings have had an astounding response from the public, with both our local clients as well as the expatriate crowds. Definitely a much needed mix of diverse cultural mingling and sharing of experiences.”

In order to keep regular and new clients constantly satisfied, vibrant and intrigued, the VIP Lounge alternates entertainment between the highly acclaimed award-winning Zimbabwean Afrofusion group Mokoomba and other live performers.

Mokoomba is one of Africa’s most exciting young bands. The group hails from Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe and is a vibrant, distinct sound combining their traditional Tonga and pan-African music cultures with dashes of Rap, Ska, Soukous and Afro-Cuban music.

The group is a joy to watch.

“As our Thursday evenings familiarity progresses, Pablo’z VIP Lounge will unquestionably be introducing new aspects to these cultural evenings that we are currently hosting to deliver the highest in quality entertainment in an exclusive ambiance and environment. This will only further add to the Pablo’z experience,” Kapuya said.
