Bad weather delays Highlanders, Yadah match

Sports Hubs

The match between Highlanders and Yadah Stars has been delayed due to heavy rain and lightning.

The teams had initially taken to the pitch, but the referee called the players off the field due to the adverse weather conditions before blowing for the start of the match.

The question on everyone’s mind ahead of this afternoon’s clash is who will grab the Golden Boot?

Highlanders striker Lynoth Chikuhwa presently leads the scoring charts with 16 goals, but Yadah Stars forward Khama Billiat is hot on his heels with 13 goals.

Highlanders have made some surprise changes to their lineup, with their usual back four of Peter Muduhwa, Andrew Mbeba, Marvelous Chigumira and Arthur Ndlovu all missing. The quartet was substituted off in the first half of Highlanders’ last game against Hwange, which they went on to lose 4-3.

The teams lineup as follows:

Highlanders

Talent Dube, Brian Mlotshwa, Lynoth Chikuhwa, Marvin Sibanda, Prince Ndlovu, Mason Mushore, Mvelo Khoza, Never Rauzhi, Brighton Ncube, Melikhaya Ncube

Yadah Stars

Marshall Takwara, Emmanuel Chitauro, Khama Billiat, Blessed Ndereki, Evans Rusike, Takunda Vereta, Ryn Ncube, Anotidashe Gwatidzo, Clive Mandivei, Marlon Mushonga, Francis Mustafa
