THE Bulawayo Amateur Football Association is on the verge of coming up with a second league following an increase in the number of teams that want to be part of their 2015 league season. Bafa chairman Chris Mtungwazi said they had five teams waiting to be part of the new league but were hoping to attract eight clubs before they create the new league. He said the registration fee for the new league would be lower than the $180 that was charged teams in the Bafa League.
Mtungwazi said the introduction of the new league will see relegation and promotion within the two structures at the end of the season.
“We will have League One, the main league and League Two the one to be launched on 14 June. Two teams will be automatically relegated and promoted while the third team from
the bottom in League One will play with the club that came third in League Two in play-offs,” he said.
Meanwhile, newcomers Unity Village top the Bafa log with 25 points with 10 games having been played and they have won eight, drawn one and lost the other. On second position is Madamara who are on 23 points followed by Hotspurs FC (19 points).
