FORMER CAPS United midfielder Ian Bakala will engage the club leadership this week ahead of the expected appointment into the technical department.
Bakala, a former Zambia Under-17 coach, arrived in Harare late last week and was at Rufaro on Saturday as CAPS United ended their winless run with a 1-0 success over Yadah.
Lloyd Chitembwe was on the bench but allowed his assistants to bark instructions from the touchline.
Initially, Chitembwe had been given two games to take charge ahead of Bakala’s arrival. However, club president Farai Jere believes the hectic schedule means there won’t be changes until next week.
CAPS United are scheduled to host FC Platinum in a Castle Lager Premier Soccer League blockbuster on Wednesday and then travel to ZPC Kariba on Saturday.
“We are supposed to engage Bakala for talks this week but the hectic schedule means he will not be part of the technical team until next week given that he will need a work permit,” said Jere.
