Some Zimpapers employees took time out last Friday for the “Gloria Rise to the Challenge” initiative for the underprivileged at Gloria Baking School which was coordinated by Jericho Advertising and Marketing. The “Rise to the Challenge” is a charity event whereby several organisations and individuals are given an opportunity to bake for the less privileged in society.

Ingredients were provided by National Foods Limited and baking was done under the supervision of Gloria Baking School’s professional baker of 12 years’ experience, Charles Mukamba.

The “Gloria Rise to the Challenge” promotion has attracted the likes of Pastor G, Cynthia Mare, Amara Brown, Tytan and many more people including 9-year-old Panashe, 11-year-old Munashe Mutuma who baked for 18 children under the care of Harvest Christian Fellowship Orphanage.

All teams had the honour to bake for an orphanage or Old People’s Home of their choice with Zimpapers staff choosing SOS Children’s Village whom they spent an afternoon with enjoying the delicacies.

This is part of National Foods’ way of giving back to the community affording someone a smile this festive season.
