BULAWAYO-based live entertainment outfit Band Fusion is celebrating a string of accolades after being recognised among the country’s top performers in recent months.
The group was named Gold First Runner-Up at the Zimbabwe Wedding Industry Networking Gala (ZWING) Awards in the Outstanding Wedding Entertainment of the Year category, marking a significant milestone in their growing career.
They also recently scooped the Outstanding Music Band award in Bulawayo at the Boys Dzamdara Business Awards, further cementing their reputation as one of the city’s leading live acts.
Band Fusion comprises Lungile Ndlovu, Reward Ndlovu, Paul Maseko, Joseph Banda, Luke Kamanga, Mthabisi Moyo, and Innocent Munyariwa.
Speaking on the recognition, drummer and vocalist Lungile Ndlovu said the honours are a testament to the group’s hard work and rising national profile.
“We’re happy as this shows that our efforts are being recognised nationally. The who’s who in this industry were nominated, and for us to win such awards is a big step, especially coming from Bulawayo,” said Ndlovu.
He added that the band remains grateful for the support it continues to receive from fans across the country.
“We’re grateful for the support we’ve received from the country as a whole, as people sacrifice to pay extra charges for us to travel wherever they are,” he said.
