A man from Luxembourg, banned from Zimbabwe in the early 1990s for forcing women to have sex with dogs while he filmed, has been jailed for an effective six months for coming into Zimbabwe illegally. Gary Bruce Gustave Arnold (65) recorded the illicit movies in partnership with his wife Vicky Musodzi Mukuna, a Zimbabwean, which he then sold in Europe.

He was declared a prohibited immigrant before he was deported twice from Zimbabwe on February 14, 1994 and secondly in July 2002. Arnold pleaded guilty to contravening the Immigration Act which prohibits specified people from entering or remaining in Zimbabwe and was sentenced to 12 months in prison on Saturday.

Harare magistrate Mr Musaiona Shortgame suspended six months on condition Arnold does not commit a similar offence in the next five years.
Prosecutor Mr Nyikadzino Machingura proved that principal immigration officer Godfrey Kondo received information that Arnold was in the country and was residing at 1405 Munhondo Close in Houghton Park.

Kondo went to the house on March 27 and arrested him.
Mr Machingura told the court that on August 24, 1993, Arnold and Mukuna were arrested for being involved in pornographic material before they appeared in court under case numbers 9984 /93 and 9985 /93.

Mukuna was ordered to pay ZW$300 then and Arnold was declared to be an undesirable inhabitant or visitor to                                                             Zimbabwe.

A notice of prohibition was issued, but Arnold defied it three times.
