Barca in wages fix

PARIS. — FC Barcelona are reportedly being pushed to their financial limits to keep superstars Lionel Messi and Neymar, especially with the English Premier League being a huge threat. The Brazilian and Argentine have become realistic targets for some of England’s top sides thanks to the money from TV rights that was injected into the Premier League earlier this year, and Manchester United and Manchester City are said to be interested in the players.

Despite last season’s winnings amounting to £482 million, and winning the UEFA Champions League three times in the past six years, Barcelona’s financial issues have board members worried, according to the Daily Mail. — AFP.
