THE Bulawayo Basketball Association will commemorate the end of the Breast Cancer Week by dedicating today’s fixtures to the cause of the campaign at Municipals Courts in Famona.

Howard Phangwana the Association secretary-general said that they will put all the mens’ games on hold to make way for the women’s fixtures which are dedicated to the breast cancer campaign.

“All the men’s matches will be suspended to make way for the women’s fixtures that are meant to promote breast cancer awareness,” said Phangwana yesterday.

He said the move was meant to raise awareness on the biggest challenge faced by women which is breast cancer.

“This is our little way of supporting the women and raising breast cancer awareness,” he said.

In today’s matches, defending champions Lakers A take on Southern Mavericks while Lupane State University play against Lakers B. Highlanders meet Hawks.

Phangwana said fans should come in their numbers to support women.
