Basketball youth camp for Mabvuku

OVER 100 youths under the age of 20 from Harare are expected to gather at Mabvuku Sports Centre for a four-day basketball skills and development camp which opens on August 30. The event is being organised by Harare B League outfit, Mabvuku Trojans. The club’s coaching and administration director, William Chimuchere, said the skills development programme has been designed out of the club’s will to see the sport grow in the capital and ultimately in the whole country.He said his club has already been given the green light to hold the camp by the country’s basketball mother body, the Basketball Union of Zimbabwe.

“We are expecting a bumper number of youths from Harare for the basketball skills development camp which opens on 30 August at the Mabvuku Sports Centre.”

Meanwhile, all is now set for the Zimbabwe Republic Police Commissioner-General Sports Gala getting underway at Morris Depot today.
