IT’S Friday the 13th and there is always an aura of mystery surrounding this day.
Highly explosive gigs are lined up tonight in what fans have dubbed the “Judgement on Friday the 13th” as Harare artistes descend on the City of Kings.
Fun lovers tonight are faced with a dilemma as fate has dictated that three shows that are likely contenders for show of the year are lined up and revellers have to choose one.

Highly acclaimed acts, Oliver Mtukudzi, Jah Prayzah and Peter Moyo will all have shows starting at 8pm tonight.
Legendary musician, Oliver Mtukudzi and Dendera Kings’ Sulumani Chimbetu will be the main acts at a gig dubbed Bulawayo Shutdown show at the Amphitheatre.

Local groups Inkululeko Yabatsha School of Arts (IYASA), Ziyawa Queens and Family Voices will be among the performers at the gig.
Just a few streets away, man of the moment Mukudzei “Jah Prayzah” Mukombe and his band, Third Generation, are expected to bring the house down at Club Royal as they light up early Christmas celebrations in the city.

Down the street, sungura musicians Tryson Chimbetu and Peter “Young Igwe” Moyo are set to ignite Manor Hotel till the break of dawn.
This is a litmus test to all the promoters as some will be left counting losses if one act draws a larger crowd.

This will also prove artistes’ popularity in the City of Kings. The musicians are geared to dish out the best of their acts as they perform in their last gigs of the year in Bulawayo.

All the artistes have performed in Bulawayo in recent months.
