BBA selects technical team

THE Bulawayo Basketball Association (BBA) has selected a technical team that will lead Bulawayo province teams in the Inter- provincial competitions to be held in Gweru this April.

Sinda Mono has been elected as the head of the technical team. The senior teama��s head coach for men is Theo Weale while the head coach for women is Mxolisi Ndlovu.

In the under-18 category, the head coach for girls is Mthulisi Makhosana, assisted by Lerule Smith while in the boys category Jonah Vumah is the head coach with Simba Mbengegwe being his assistant coach.

Secretary General for BBA Admire Chafa said they elected the technical team according to their qualifications for the job.

a�?We have one of the strongest technical teams with womena��s coach Mxolisi Ndlovu a National University of Science and Technology (Nust) lecturer who happens to be the under 20 National team coach.a�?

a�?For the juniors we tried to incorporate people from National Association of Secondary Heads (Nash) and National Association of Primary Heads (Naph), the likes of Jonah Vuma and Mthulisi Makhosana from Nash and Ellen Ngwenya Headmistress of Sigombe Primary School,a�? said Chafa.

Bulawayo Province has commenced preparations for the inter-provincial tourney.

If the province manages to finish the tournament in the top four, they will get an opportunity to represent the country at the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) Africa Club Championships.
