. ALEXANDER Graham Bell might have had Swazilandas MTN National First Division outfit Mbabane Citizens in mind when he coined the famed quote: a?When one door closes, another opens; but we often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door that we do not see the one which has opened for us.a?
Soon after their most prized Zimbabwe playing asset Tawana Chikore closed the door on them, two more Zimbabwe born players arrived at the premier league bound outfit as some of the mid-season transfer window signings.
The transfer window period which closed last Friday saw at least three Zimbabwe born players arrive in Swazi football.
The list is headlined by the Zifa Central Soccer League outfit, ZPC Munyatias duo of Kudakwashe Sanyika and Carlton Vheremu.
The pair joined the Ikarbort Masocha coached outfit to bolster the championship race that took itas first knock last week with a shock 0-1 defeat to Hlathikulu Tycoons in a midweek fixture before crumbling out of the SMVAF Ingwenyama Cup at the hands of Mbabane Swallowsa 3-0 semi final tie.
Also arriving was former Dynamos fringe player, Zivai Verenga who joined Matsapha United- some years ago he played in the Swazi league but briefly for Malanti Chiefs.
Last year he was with Highlands Park in the National First Division of South Africa before heading to Alex United where he was up until his decision to return to Swaziland.
Verenga told Swazi Sport that he will do his best to bring positive results under compatriot Saul Chaminuka.
a?I promise to deliver at the new club and probably a debut goal will be super,a? said Verenga.
Chaminuka was full of praise for Verenga.
a?He is a good addition to the team considering that we are trying to cast away the off field negative battering the club has been faced with in recent weeks.
A win is what we expect and I feel Verenga will bring the good fortunes,a? said Chaminuka.
Verenga was due for a Matsapha United debut on Thursday night in a rescheduled tie against Manzini Sundowns at Mavuso Sports Centre.
