Beach Soccer Zimbabwe (BSZ) is gearing up to host an exciting tournament in Harare on 24 August featuring four teams each in the men’s and women’s categories.
The tournament promises to be a thrilling display of skill and talent, with prize money set at $150 for the winners and $100 for the losing finalists. According to Vincent Chawonza, BSZ board member for development: “We are thrilled to host this tournament, the third this year, which promises to be a fantastic showcase of beach soccer talent in Zimbabwe. We are grateful to our corporate sponsors, Stuttafords, Open Gold Investments, CP Chemicals, Surveillance and Security Systems, iDrive Academy, Diamond Alliance Group and Corpoint Zimbabwe for their support in making this event possible.”
The tournament will take place on Sunday at Hampdens Amusement Park, which offers a picturesque setting for the beautiful game. Spectators can expect an electrifying atmosphere, with exciting matches and plenty of entertainment on offer.
Chawonza added: “We are committed to developing beach soccer in Zimbabwe, and this tournament is an important step towards achieving our goals. We look forward to seeing the best of Zimbabwe’s beach soccer talent on display.”
With prize money on offer and the opportunity to showcase their skills, teams are expected to give it their all in pursuit of victory.
