GOSPEL diva Janet Manyowa has described her husband Munyaradzi as a pillar of strength.
Munyaradzi, who doubles as her manager, has been hailed for shaping Janet’s career.
The multiple award-winning songbird shared her picture with Munyaradzi, on her Facebook page this week, busy at work, much to the delight of her fans.
“Here to appreciate my manager, Mr Manyowa… apa, it was 2am and he was telling me to take it easy, I was supposed to be resting!
“He goes through the most, I tell you,” reads the post.
Contacted for comment, Janet said she was grateful to her husband, who has made her job easier.
“I really appreciate my husband for what he does for us.
“Managers are hardly appreciated for their job but they always make our task appear simple,” she said.
Janet said her husband was a genius when it comes to strategising.
“My husband helps me when it comes to planning.
“In my case, I mainly concentrate on singing while the planning part of it is handled by him,” she added.
After the post, Janet’s followers responded by appreciating how Munyaradzi has been supportive to the queen of praise and worship in her musical journey.
It’s not always the case that men support their wives to be part of the industry and it a different scenario with Janet.
There has been a perception that most men do not want their wives to be involved in the arts industry.

Dai tiine ana Mr Manyowa vakawanda muZimbabwe, I tell you our music industry would never be the same. If he could offer mentorship to young managers out there, a lot of musicians would be transformed in so many ways. Janet Manyowa you are blessed to have a strong support system and a management portfolio like Mr Manyowa. One other thing, the picture shows how submissive you’re to his management office, it’s also a lesson to other musicians. Keep the flames burning Mr and Mrs Manyowa, muri ZimAsset. – Chamaz TV·
