THE Beitbridge Business Expo 2026 edition is attracting more exhibitors than last year, as the event positions itself as a key platform for local growth and trade at the country’s busiest border.
Held at Dulivhadzimu Stadium, the expo provides space for local entrepreneurs to showcase products and services, network with potential investors, and gain insights from industry leaders.
From agriculture, manufacturing and transport to financial services, crafts, and technology, the show floor is busy with new and returning businesses.
Organisers said the expo had 20 new business entries, taking the total number of exhibitors above the 117 recorded last year.
Chairperson of the organising committee and award-winning businesswoman, Dr Anna Muleya, credited the growth to a more inclusive approach.
“The expo has embraced Government’s mantra of a whole-of-Government approach to ensure that all sectors are involved and actively participate,” she said.
“We have also adopted the mantra of leaving no one behind, to ensure that all persons from literally all walks of life have a role to play at the expo.”
Dr Muleya added that to deliver on that, the committee held extensive consultations across sectors which included civic leaders, residents’ association leaders, small business groups, women and youth structures, and community organisations.
The engagement, she said, helped identify gaps and bring in businesses that had not participated before.
“This year we extensively consulted across sectors including civic leaders, residents’ association leaders and others,” she noted. “The result is more representation and more opportunities for our local entrepreneurs.”
Dr Muleya encouraged Beitbridge residents to visit the show and support local enterprises. “I encourage the Beitbridge community to support the show and visit the stands to appreciate the services at their disposal from various players,” she said.
While the 2026 edition is running at Dulivhadzimu Stadium, she added, civil works are continuing at a new site where the expo committee, in partnership with Beitbridge Municipality, is developing a permanent showground.
Once complete, the showground is expected to give the expo more space for larger displays, outdoor exhibitions, and year-round business events.
Dr Muleya said for now, organisers were focusing on making this year’s edition a success and ensuring that every exhibitor got value.
