Beitbridge partners Zinara

yesterday, Beitbridge town secretary Dr Sipho Singo said the programme, which started last week, would be completed by the end of August. He said the programme would result in the tarring of the road linking Red Quinn which is located along Masvingo Road, the Export Processing Zone, medium density suburbs and the industrial sites.

Dr Singo said they would also resurface some of the roads which were badly damaged by floods in Dulibadzimu suburb. He said they had mobilised resources and that activities were going according to plan.

“The development of this town cannot be achieved through the council’s money alone. Hence we decided to venture into a private public partnership with Zinara.

“We are also getting support from the Infrastructure Development and Transport ministry in terms of equipment,” he said.
Dr Singo said they would carry out much of the civil works using their own earth moving equipment though Zinara and the Transport ministry were assisting with back up.
