Beitbridge’s Zezani High School wins NASH u17 boys soccer finals

Beitbridge’s Zezani High School Under-17 soccer team were on Friday crowned the National Association of Secondary Heads champions for 2025 after beating Gutu High School 5-4 on penalties on Friday.

The competitions were held in Chinhoyi.
In a public notice, the school said the match was pushed into penalties after ending goalless in regulation time.

“It’s Official. It’s Done. It’s Ours!, The wait is over. The dream is now a reality. We are 2025 NASH U17 Boys Soccer National Champions! From district dominance to provincial triumph and now, we stand tall as the best in the nation.

We’ve conquered every challenge, silenced every doubt and proven beyond question that we are champions of Zimbabwe. We’re bringing the trophy home – to Zezani, to Beitbridge, to Matabeleland South; the Rainbow province! Thank you everyone who rallied behind us for your support,” reads the notice.

On the road to the finals, Zezani High School boys shrugged off competition from Harare High, Guinea Fowl and Rimuka High.

They also beat Prince Edward 7-6 in a penalty shootout when their semi-final match ended 2 all after 90 minutes.
