A man from Alicedale in Umguza District in Matabeleland North Province was left in the lurch after his wife dumped him together with their four children and eloped with her a?Ben 10a?.

Sources close to the situation said the woman Regina Banda deserted her husband Lizwe Mpofu after she found herself a a?thirst-quenchinga? younger man only identified as Ngwenya.

Ngwenya is reportedly a driver at George Silunduka Secondary School.

B-Metro has learnt that her husband apparently out of shame went to South Africa also leaving their children alone.

The deserted children are reportedly wreaking havoc stealing other villagersa property since there is no one to fend for them.

The source said Banda informed her relatives that she quit her marriage with Mpofu so that she could join her lover who allegedly gives her more action in the bedroom than what Mpofu was providing.

She reportedly said she never loved him in the first place despite the fact that they lived together for several years as husband and wife.

The source went on: a?While the community is shocked Regina (Banda) seems to be content and taking things easily.

She is bragging that she has found a young man who is satisfying her in bed.

a?She also said she decided to leave her husband after her lover pleaded with her to dump him so that they can be always togethera?.

Headman Tedious Mathema whose jurisdiction the area falls under confirmed the incident. He said last week he summoned Banda to appear before his traditional court but she didnat turn up for the hearing.

a?We are shocked as a community on why Regina (Banda) decided to do such a shameful thing of leaving her husband and children and elope to someone younger than her.

After the incident the husband also left the children alone while going to South Africa.

a?The children are now engaging in crime as a way of making a living.

a?After one of them was arrested for stealing I summoned her (Regina Banda) to my court but she didnat come and we are now planning to enlist the services of the police,a? said headman Mathema.

Banda could not, however, be drawn to comment as her phone was answered by someone else, who said she left it with her.

Suspiciously, the person said so on realising this reporter was on Bandaas back. . .
