to perform at the Glen Norah Methodist’s Serving with Courage Christmas Bash, which was held over the weekend.
Bethany stunned the organisers by her absence. However, her band pitched up.
“We paid her a total of U$400 which she had requested but surprisingly she did not show up.
“She still has not communicated to us why she did such a thing”, said Percy Ganyiwa who organised the concert.
It could not be established why Bethany did not turn up, as efforts to get comment from the songstress’ camp were futile at the time of going to print.
One Lyton Ngolomi, who presented himself as Bethany’s manager, failed to explain why the “Ndinzverei” singer did not show up.
“I will get back to you, right now I am working on something,” he said before switching off his phone.
However, the concert went on well as other artistes who were billed to perform fulfilled their contracts.
Sebastian Magacha, who thrilled fans at the Kirk Franklin concert, maintained his form putting on a stellar performance at the Christmas Bash. The Methodist group, Kingdom of Praise, also gave the audience an act to remember.
The concert saw Vabati vaJehovah, who had been away from the musical scene, make a guest appearance at the concert.
