The launch, which kicks off at 5pm, will be held at Kingston’s House in the capital.
Harvest Song 5 becomes the fifth CD produced by the church since the inception of the project five years ago.
Harvest Song is an interdenominational musical project within the ZAOGA church, which promotes gospel through music. One of the tenets of the project is to “harvest people through music”, such that when Christians across denominational divide and people in the secular world find the music appealing, they then use the platform to enhance and strengthen their relationship with God.
The group (pictured right) is made up of 50 men and women, who are passionate about spreading the Word through music.
To date the organisation has released four albums, which focus on different Christian perspectives that are conveyed in various languages including Shona and English.
A member of the group, Benjamin Rupapa, said the Harvest Song project was aimed at winning souls through music.
“We are trying to grow the Lord’s ministry through music and I can say the response has been good.
“In fact it was that realisation of the positive spin off that we got from our first project that really inspired us to work on more albums,” he said.
