Romelu Lukaku has been mocked by Betfair, who were offering odds on the Manchester United striker making an embarrassing mistake against Arsenal.
Lukaku made a second half appearance on Wednesday, but could not help Manchester United get all three points as the game ended in a draw.
Lukaku has been the subject of ridicule in recent weeks and injured himself against Southampton after tumbling over following a poor first touch.
And now punters have been given the chance to bet on the 25-year-old’s future misfortune.
Betfair’s ‘specials’ section rates Lukaku at 5/2 to fall over the ball and 33/1 to assist an Arsenal goal.
He is 2/1 to dribble the ball out of play and 7/1 to have a wayward shot miss so abjectly that it goes out of play for a throw in.
Lukaku is even 50/1 to score an own goal past David de Gea in the Premier League clash with the Gunners at Old Trafford. The powerhouse forward scored in United’s 2-2 fightback against Southampton at the weekend, ending a 981-minute wait for a goal.
Away fans have taken the opportunity to ridicule him during the goal drought and he’s looked bereft of confidence at times. — Daily Mail
