“The two have been released pending investigations and as of now they are out of police custody,” he said.
Tichavona Mutebere of Govere Law Chambers — who is representing the duo — also confirmed the release.
“The girls are now out of police custody but there are some issues which they (police) want to verify,” he said.
The raunchy dancers’ arrest follows a public outcry after newspapers published pictures of their dance routines acts.
Police national spokesperson Chief Superintendent Oliver Mandipaka had earlier warned the female dancers against their acts.
The pair was picked up around 11am on Wednesday and taken to the Commercial Crime Unit at Harare Central Police Station.
The dancers had already lined up a series of shows at venues in Harare.
Harpers Mapimhidze, Beverley’s manager said he was happy with the dancers’ release and they were preparing for weekend shows.
