Bhamusi targets five out of five

CAPS United captain, Phineas Bamusi, says they simply have to win all their remaining games in the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League.

The Green Machine staged a sensational comeback against Triangle United at the National Sports Stadium.

Two late goals from Emmanuel Mandiranga and Ben Musaka powered them to a 2-1 victory.

The Green Machine visit army side Cranborne Bullets at Vengere in Rusape on Sunday.

“It’s always a good feeling to win games, especially after a long run without winning.

“We needed the points and it really was fulfilling to collect maximum points.

“Considering where we are coming from, and where we are on the log standings, we really needed to work hard.

“The Triangle win was a sweet victory for us.

“So, we expect to carry on putting in the hard work and grinding results.”

CAPS United players went straight to the changing room, just after the game, and Bamusi said they were overcome with relief.

“We just thought we had done our job.

“We had nothing against the fans or anyone as we feel that supporters should always be there for us in good and bad times.

“A lot of things can be wrongly translated,” he said.

Bamusi urged all CAPS United fans to back their efforts of winning the remaining five matches.

“It hasn’t been a good season, but the fans have to be patient with us. “Hopefully, we will perform in the remaining games,” he said.
