Big Brother ends on a high note

It was pretty obvious Capetonian Keagan would win the big prize of US$300 000 as consolation for their disappointing loss in the last edition won by Zimbabwe’s Wendall Parson and Nigeria’s Karen.
Well, we don’t have any qualms about Keagan’s win because everything seemed to work in his favour especially that our own Zimbabwean housemates — Maneta Mazanhi and Rockford Josphats whom we thought had a good chance of not only making it to the final but also winning the top prize fouled up and were disqualified.
I watched the live show on Sunday and I could see both Roki and Maneta enjoying themselves on the other side of the stage. I am sure they hated what they did and wished it never happened, but such is life. When you get a chance sometimes you don’t see it until it’s gone.
For Roki he must have envied Nigerian superstars like D’Banj and Naeto C for their cheart-stopping performances. Oh my word, D’Banj just turned on the style when he performed the song “Oliver Twist” that sent the crowd into a frenzy. Naeto C also did his thing and performed the hit “10 Over 10” that sent the crowd on its feet. It was really a great finale and the inclusion of superstars like D’Banj and Naeto C was worth the wait.
Quite honestly, I believe this year belonged to South Africa since for the past six years they have been playing hosts but without winning anything. At this point we congratulate South Africans for being supportive of their own unlike in previous editions but was it because Keagan is from Cape Town or what?
Well, whatever view that you might have we think Keagan was a strong character and an entertainer too. I was particularly chuffed by his accent and his crazy hairstyle. To most people, Keagan was real from the outset and I wouldn’t be surprised if he continues his love affair with Zambian Talia now that the game is over.
Season seven is gone and we wonder what’s coming next but for now it;s back to our favourite shows. We gather e-Africa’s Scandal has become a must see for those who love soaps. The reason is because of Daniel, yes, that shrewd and crafty character who plays the lead role in Scandal. Below are the highlights of the show:

Morongwe is relieved when Daniel tells her he has managed to get Thembeka to back down but is outraged when she discovers what Thembeka expects in return. More drama and scandal follows when Palesa accepts Kila’s marriage proposal and suddenly, an unexpected obstacle turns the happiest day of their lives into the hardest. William and Tshidi revel in their marital bliss when an unwanted guest makes an appearance. Suffocate continues to avoid Puleng’s discussion of marriage leaving her to wonder whether they have a future or not. Bash reassures Suffocate that he won’t say anything to Puleng regarding what happened between him and Niki.
