Big Brother Mzansi finale tomorrow

Who would have thought that tomorrow, Big Brother Mzansi would come to a close? It seems all too soon – but then again the show producers never said it would be for three months like the African Big  Brother.
The winner of Big Brother Mzansi Secrets will be announced tomorrow evening during the two-hour live finale which starts at 6pm exclusively on Mzansi Magic (DStv channel 161). One lucky housemate from the initial 18 will walk away with the grand prize of R1 million. Iris, Kat, Loko, Mandla, MK and Sol have proved to be the strongest players in the game and after surviving a few blows here and there, they definitely ruled the roost.

The interesting twist of Big Brother Mzansi is that housemates are in for a great surprise tomorrow as they have no idea that the show ends tomorrow. Many, if not all, believed the show was going to last for three months like Big Brother Africa.

We saw it all this season as we got a dose of everything including the violence, the drunkenness, the sex and the break-ups.
Obviously Big Brother got what he wanted, as he put people in test-tube conditions that encourage bad behaviour. That said, what was intriguing on this season was how some evicted housemates saw no wrong in some of their actions in the house.

“I would not change a thing if I were to do it all over again,” said Lexi, who got evicted last Sunday. For her, Big Brother Mzansi was a place where she acted exactly as she would ordinarily in real life.

This comes after she openly had unprotected sex with fellow contestant Mandla several times. She called it love, and saw nothing wrong with being in those situations as the whole country watched.

“After a while you get used to the idea of being on camera and you realise you can’t act. So everything that you saw was me trying to just be myself.
“When Mandla comes out, I hope we can still be together but that remains to be seen because people can change,” she said.

The last two weeks of the show have seen some of the most loved characters on Big Brother Mzansi leave the house. Recent evictions have proved that Big Brother really is anyone’s game. While popularity is obviously a benefit, it seems being too popular with viewers (who have the power to vote) can also be a disadvantage. After conspiring to nominate Lexi for eviction (which is against Big Brother rules) close friends Mzamo and Thando were the first of the favourites to be sent packing two weeks ago.

Mzamo, who was evicted on the same day as Thando, was perhaps the best-liked housemate at the beginning of the show, and having won challenges in the house numerous times also made him safe from eviction nominations. – Iol/Showbiz Reporter.
