THE entertainment-starved town of Beitbridge will come alive tonight when South African music outfit Big Nuz take their act to Pagomba Cafe together with Beitbridge’s finest DJ Clemza. The show will give the Durban-based group an opportunity to prove their worth after they sold a dummy to the Beitbridge community last month. Big Nuz, who were scheduled to perform in the border town along with Oskido were in a no show at the same venue last month after they made a double booking.
The Oskido-run Kalawa Jazmee stable ended up sending a low strength of DJs including Candy, Busisa and Lady T.
Show organiser Lovemore Chonzi said revellers should expect a memorable show.
“We have done our homework and are expecting a full house. There will be full bar and catering, secure car park and maximum security both from the Zimbabwe Republic Police and a private company. Further we have hired marshals from outside Beitbridge to ensure competence,” he said.
Chonzi further assured house music fans that Big Nuz was indeed coming to the country.
“We have assurance that the crew will be in the country this morning for road-shows around the town. We have a mixed bag of music as the Big Nuz will be performing alongside our resident DJ Clemza. We want to measure them with our local stars,” he said.
