THE future of Zimbabwe international Khama Billiat could have been settled yesterday after the Warriors star reportedly agreed to a two-year contract extension with South African giants Mamelodi Sundowns.

Billiat’s contract at the Pretoria side was set to expire at the end of the season but, according to a report by South Africa’s Sports24, Sundowns exercised their option to extend the contract of the Zimbabwean winger by two years.

The 25-year-old, who has in the past been associated with several European clubs, has been instrumental for the table-topping Sundowns this season, contributing nine goals and seven assists.

Recently he told KickOff magazine he was not looking too much into the future.

“I just want to achieve as much as I can this season and see how things unfold at the end of the season,” said Billiat.

“I can only go overseas if I do well at Sundowns. If I haven’t reached my full potential. If I play my best football, then doors will open for me.”

No comment could be obtained from Sundowns yesterday.

He has formed a formidable partnership with South African starlet Keegan Dolly and Colombian forward Leonardo Castro.
