MAMELODI Sundowns and Warriors forward Khama Billiatas stock continues to rise, with the latest report by Soccer Laduma putting him at a market value of A?1,49 million (R24 million).
The figure puts him ahead of his nearest competitor Jeremy Brockie of New Zealand by nearly R11 million.
The 26-year-old Warriors talisman scooped two prestigious gongs in the previous season, the Absa Premiership Playersa Player of the Season and Absa Premiership Footballer of the Season before being named the second best African football player based in Africa in January this year.
Billiat went on to guide Sundowns to the Caf Champions League title which is Africaas equivalent of the Uefa Champions League.
The Caf title earned the South African side a place among the elite football teams in the world at the Club World Cup in Japan, with the Zimbabwean giving a good account of himself in an otherwise underwhelming campaign for the African team.
The silky forward was not quite done yet as he followed that up with a notable appearance at the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon, earning rave reviews in his first ever match against Algeria in Africaas esteemed soccer showpiece.
