Agriculture, Mechanisation and Irrigation Development Minister Joseph Made said  there were challenges in procuring grain for the drought stricken areas because of the Finance Minister who had no interest in the welfare of people.

Minister Made said Minister Biti should be releasing at least US$3 million per week for the purchase of grain but he was deliberately delaying.

“Now he is even attempting to hamper the purchase of grain locally by not releasing funds to the responsible authorities,” Minister Made said.
