A HARARE woman has been granted a protection order against her abusive ex-boyfriend.

Tatenda Matemberere accused her former boyfriend, Takesure Nhembere, of assaulting and harassing her.

Tatenda told the Harare Civil Court yesterday that she has not known any peace since they broke up.

“He comes to my workplace as he pleases to insult and harass me.

“I am afraid I might lose my job if he continues what he is doing,” she said.

In response, Takesure said:

“I insulted her after she provoked me first.

“I don’t have problems if the protection order is granted,” he said.

Magistrate Tamara Chibindi granted the protection order in Tatenda’s favour.
