REJECTION is not the end of the world!

These words seem to have no meaning for a Bulawayo man who is in the habit of stalking and harassing his churchmate as punishment for turning down his love proposal.

Joyce Bumhe told a Bulawayo Civil Court that Innocent Nyandoro (pictured above) had been on several times begging her to love him but she vehemently rejected his offer.

Feeling jilted and not accepting that Bumhe had opted to date a married man instead of him, Nyandoro from Gwabalanda in a bid to prove his undying love for her, resorted to violence.A Whenever they meet he physically and emotionally abuses her.

a?Innocent (Nyandoro) is my churchmate and he proposed love to me and I rejected him. As punishment for turning down his love proposal he is now stalking, physically and emotionally abusing me.

a?He is always coming to my place of residence to verbally harass me while calling me a prostitute who is sleeping with married men. By doing so he has tarnished my image in the church and community. He is also in the habit of stalking me and emotionally harassing my child by asking where his father is,a? complained Bumhe.

When asked to respond to Bumheas accusations, the unmarried Nyandoro said he was angered that she was dating a married man a?at his expensea?.

a?I agree with some of the issues that she stated but not the violence part. When I assaulted her it was not intentional but it was after we had an altercation after I reprimanded her on why she was dating a married man,a? said Nyandoro.

His remarks however, seem to have courted the anger of the presiding magistrate Sithembile Ncube who subsequently scolded him.

a?Its not your business to see who is dating the applicant, if she likes married men let her do so since she doesnat love you,a? charged the magistrate before she ordered Nyandoro not to stalk, harass or visit the applicant at her place of residence. .
