THE trailer of the movie A Life to Regret that features comedian Mai Titi and internationally acclaimed artiste Awilo Longomba has set tongues wagging through its picturesque scenes and creativity.
Released over the weekend, the movie’s trailer introduces, for the first time, Awilo and Mai Titi to the international film world.
A work of UK-based production house, BJB Films (Billy Jeremiah Brown Films), A Life to Regret is a family movie which will unpack the differences and hatred between a step mother and step daughter.
In the trailer, the Karolina hit-maker gives a one on one interview where he assures his musical fans that he will not be leaving music, adding that he is eager to work closely with Mai Titi.
“I am not saying I’m gonna quit music, I am just a lover of cinema and it was my dream to be a main actor. I’m grateful for this opportunity and I promise, I’m never gonna disappoint.
“It will be my first time to collaborate in a movie with Mai Titi and I am glad,” he said.
BJB Films founder, Leo Brown said preparations for the film’s shooting are on course.
“We’ll begin the final shooting of the movie in London as from April and we expect it to fire up across the African continent and worldwide,” he said.
Brown said filming of another romantic/action film here in Zimbabwe that will feature Mai Titi, Demarco, Benny-Demus and Awilo will commence soon after the final production of A Life to Regret.
The film is set to unpack the rich talent that the continent possesses and it will be shot at various locations in the country. – @mthabisi_mthire
