Black Boots out to revenge

THE Zifa Southern Region Division One Soccer League begins this weekend with last season runners-up Black Boots targeting to open their account with the scalp of Ntabazinduna Prison.
Black Boots will be out for revenge against Ntabazinduna who held them to a 1-1 draw last season, a result that saw them missing out on championship which went to Bulawayo Chiefs.

Black Boots executive member Sydney Madzvimbo said they are taking nothing for granted and are plotting to void last year’s disappointment by winning all their opening games.

“We want to get off on a good start.  The first game matters most.  We have to win them all and this year we are positive to lift the title.
“Our target is nothing besides the championship.  We will be doing injustice to ourselves as a club if we don’t win it this year,” said Madzvimbo.

The Police Support Unit-side have recruited Simon Njeleza and Tendai Ndlovu after losing Prince Nkomo to Bantu Rovers, Wilfred Muza and Mthulisi Nkomo.

Ntabazinduna Prison are under the tutelage of former Zimbabwe Saints and Dynamos striker Agent Sawu who saved them from relegation last season.

Plumtree Chiefs take on Hwange Juniors while Tsholotsho Pirates will face Quelaton FC.
Quelaton are closing in on a merger with National University of Science and Technology.

Tumediso “Drogba” Ndlovu’s New West City will play host to Trumus of Victoria Falls.
